WOOD RIVER Four Madison County deaths were among the 81 COVID-19 related deaths reported Sunday by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
The IDPH identified the deceased as a man in his 70s, a man in his 80s, a woman in her 90s and a man in his 90s.
The IDPH also reported 4,711 new confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases.
Late Saturday the Madison County Health Department reported four new COVID-19 related deaths a man in his 70s, two men in their 80s and a man in his 90s to bring the county’s virus death toll to 387. No deaths were reported Friday.
About 105,000 health care workers in Missouri have received their first dose of the two-shot vaccine. That’s about one-third of the state’s more than 350,000 patient-facing health care workers.
