TURKEY, the Maldives and Nepal have today been added to the Government s high risk red alert holiday list.
Transport Secretary Grant Shapps made the announcement at a press conference this evening while also revealing the 12-strong green travel list.

Mr Shapps said: Red list countries should not be visited except in the most extreme circumstances, where repeated testing and isolation on return is compulsory.

BRITS planning a holiday abroad this year face queues as long as ten hours at the airport this summer, due to the strict new Covid rules and measures being enforced.
Border Forces have warned there is no way around delays as they face checks on Covid tests, vaccine certificates and documents on every passenger.

Experts already warned of seven-hour queues earlier this year, with passengers currently travelling being forced to wait in long lines.

A PRIVATE company is to carry out 10,000 home visits every day to check Brits are complying with holiday quarantine rules, it is claimed.
The Home Office has hired Mitie to increase the number of daily checks ten-fold, with 1,000 carried out at present.
