COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department says an Orangeburg man has been charged with stealing a truck from a West Columbia used car dealership. According to Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon, two witnesses say they saw a truck halfway through a fence and stuck in a ditch near the used car lot on East Steele Road. The witnesses also say they saw an individual running away from the truck.

Deputies say they found 20-year-old Andre Spencer McCartney hiding in the woods near the car lot. Officials say he was arrested and charged with grand larceny.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Attorney Generals Office has announced the arrest of a Lexington County man on several sexual exploitations of a minor charges.
Damon C. Dorman, 22, has been charged with two counts of 2nd-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and three counts of 3rd-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Officials received a CyberTipline report that led them to Dorman.

Pine Ridge to hire employment consultant for police chief search

PINE RIDGE, S.C. The Town of Pine Ridge is looking for a new police chief and members for the police department. Over the past few months, there has been some concern brought to the council regarding how the police department is managed, said Mayor Pro Tem Daniel Davis.
Currently, The Lexington County Sheriff s Office provides law enforcement services after members of the Pine Ridge Police Department resigned. During Tuesday s council meeting, the finance committee recommended that De Van and Associates, an employment consultant, search for the police chief position.
