Lexington-Richland School District Five announces location change for graduation ceremonies

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– On Thursday, Lexington-Richland School District Five announced a location change for the district’s graduation ceremonies this year. Instead of holding graduation at Colonial Life Arena, the district says Chapin High School, Dutch Fork High School, Irmo High School and Spring Hill High School will be held at the district’s three high school football stadiums.
Officials say the ceremonies will still be held on June 18 and 19. As of right now, officials say the schedule is as follows:
Irmo High School – Friday, June 18: 8 a.m. at Irmo High School Stadium
Lexington-Richland Five partners with Lexington Medical Center for staff vaccinations

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Lexington-Richland School District Five is partnering with the Lexington Medical Center to vaccinate its school staff. Officials say the vaccinations will take place on March 26 and April 16 at Dutch Fork High School. The district says it will assign staff times to get the vaccine.
Officials say staff members should complete the CDC’s vaccine administration management system registration, but they do not need to schedule appointments for those days.

IRMO, S.C. (WIS) - Lexington-Richland School District Five has announced it will be partnering with Lexington Medical Center to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to staff members.
The vaccination events will be held on Friday, March 26 and Friday, April 16.
Employees must register with the Centers for Disease Control and Preventionâs Vaccine Administration Management System. The district will then schedule an appointment.
Organizers say time slots are limited at this time.

COLUMBIA, S.C. Administrators with Lexington-Richland School District Five will hold its 2021 Teacher Recruitment Event on Saturday, Feb. 6, to give educators seeking employment in the district an opportunity to talk one-on-one with administrators. The district is also looking to fill vacancies for substitute teaching positions and is accepting applications for those part time positions through an employment service.
Full time teaching candidates must pre-register for the virtual event by visiting www.lexrich5.org/teach and are encouraged to upload a resume for interviewers to access and review prior to Saturday s session.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and will feature live video chat features for candidates, live chat rooms with current teachers in the district to gain insight into the district’s professional development opportunities and culture, as well as view videos about each school.
