A Bedford man accused of fatally shooting a 62-year-old man during a domestic altercation in Snake Spring Township last month had his charges bound to the Court of Common Pleas in central court on Wednesday.
Tico Franklin, 38, is facing charges of criminal homicide and first degree murder after he allegedly shot and killed Brian W. Hunter of Bedford on April 24 outside Franklinâs former home at 145 Mile Level Road.
Hunterâs daughter, Angela Brown, testified during the preliminary hearing on Wednesday that she saw Franklin shoot her father in the chest.
Brown, who was living with Franklin at the time, said her father responded to their home shortly before 2 p.m. after Franklin âput his handsâ on her.
A preliminary hearing for a Schellsburg man accused of shooting at a group of activists, striking one man with birdshot, last year has been continued until next month, while police are still attempting to make contact with the other man who allegedly exchanged gunfire.
The preliminary hearing for Terry L. Myers, 51, of Schellsburg, was continued from May 26 to June 9, according to online court dockets.
Myers is facing a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault and dozens of misdemeanors for allegedly firing a shotgun at a crowd of activists marching from Milwaukee to Washington D.C. last August after the group had stopped in a parking lot on his fatherâs property along Route 30 in Juniata Township.
