LONDON â More than a year after CHI Saint Joseph Health paused its volunteer program due to the COVID-19 pandemic, volunteers will once again be at Saint Joseph London to begin providing in-person service.
The week of April 19 is National Volunteer Week â a week that honors and thanks the thousands of volunteers across the United States who provide services to local organizations and communities â and during this week, an estimated 325 volunteers will return to Flaget Memorial Hospital, Saint Joseph Berea, Saint Joseph East, Saint Joseph Hospital, Saint Joseph Jessamine, Saint Joseph London, Saint Joseph Mount Sterling and Womenâs Hospital at Saint Joseph East.

Mr Wallington died from serious head injuries after his head struck the pavement. Wiseman denies manslaughter, claiming he acted in self-defence when the altercation took place.

The 11-person jury could not decide whether Leslie Wiseman was guilty of the manslaughter of Paul Wallington, who died shortly after Christmas in 2018. Wiseman, 31, of Whitehouse Meadows, Eastwood, claims he acted in self-defence when he struck Mr Wallington outside the Vine bar in Brentwood High Street shortly after midnight on Christmas Day. Mr Wallington died from serious head injuries several days after the incident.

During the trial at Basildon Crown Court yesterday defence barrister Peter Wilcock told the hearing Mr Wallington had been violent in previous incidents.
