The week of April 19 is National Volunteer Week – a week that honors and thanks the thousands of volunteers across the United States who provide services to local organizations and communities – and during this week, an estimated 325 volunteers will return to Flaget Memorial Hospital, Saint Joseph Berea, Saint Joseph East, Saint Joseph Hospital, Saint Joseph Jessamine, Saint Joseph London, Saint Joseph Mount Sterling and Women’s Hospital at Saint Joseph East.

Mr Wallington died from serious head injuries after his head struck the pavement. Wiseman denies manslaughter, claiming he acted in self-defence when the altercation took place.

Leslie Wiseman, 30, of Whitehouse Meadows, Leigh is charged with manslaughter but claims he acted in self defence when Mr Wallington suffered catastrophic injuries. During the trial at Basildon Crown Court yesterday defence barrister Peter Wilcock told the hearing Mr Wallington had been violent in previous incidents.
