Gelling was due to stand trial at Liverpool Crown Court today, Wednesday, accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm on partner Toni Mackey. But proceedings were adjourned for the day due to the illness of the prosecuting barrister, and it is anticipated that the case will instead be opened tomorrow, Thursday.
