LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. (WWSB) - The normalcy of a night at the movies is returning to the Suncoast.
“We’ve been kind of locked down, watching Netflix and things like that,” moviegoer Dexter Geohagan said, “But it’s been kind of fun to get back into things with popcorn, situations like that.”
The Lakewood Ranch Cinema has been open every weekend during the month of April. Sarasota Film Society leaders said they almost didn’t make it.

Ticket prices: $20 for members; $25 for nonmembers
Raffle prices: $1 per ticket; $10 for 12 tickets; $20 for 25 tickets
50/50 raffle prices: $5 for six tickets; $10 for 13 tickets; $15 for 25 tickets
Highlights: Rosemary and Thyme will provide free food and drinks before the movie screenings of “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” “Jurassic Park” and “1917.” The event will also include a raffle, 50/50 raffle and silent auction.
Safety precautions: Auditoriums will be at 50%, people will be social distancing, face masks will be required when people aren’t eating or drinking, hand sanitizer stations have been installed, air conditioner filters have been changed, and the auditoriums will be sanitized before and after people are in them.
