Admittance is sacred, special, and limited to the very few who are lucky enough to receive an all-expenses-paid trip to central Florida to be fêted as guests of honor, though some might say it is a very lack of luck or felicity that brought them here: a damning of atoms, a genetic wild card. To be lucky enough to visit this place, you will be unlucky enough to be a child with a critical illness, or someone in their constellation. But here, at Give Kids the World Village, these illnesses seem to matter a little less, if only for a week. Here you fly. Here, you are in most excellent company.
PopCon Indy planning to return this summer as in-person event

PopCon Indy, an annual event that lured tens of thousands of visitors to the Indiana Convention Center before going virtual in 2020 because of the pandemic, announced Tuesday that it plans to return to in-person status in 2021.
The multi-genre popular culture convention is slated for July 9-11 at the convention center with a full lineup.
Organizers said the eighth annual PopCon Indy will “welcome dozens of special guests, hundreds of vendors, and enough activities to fill up your entire weekend.”
PopCon Indy organizers had been expecting up to 40,000 visitors for last year’s convention before they were forced to turn it into a virtual event.

It’s the last weekend for the Magic of Lights Vail, a brand new attraction that fills the nights with fun and wonder after a great day on the slopes. Magic of Lights Vail is a walk-through display of colorful lights and winter-themed displays consisting of 500,000 lights along a half mile path throughout Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and the Lower Bench of Ford Park. The area is large enough to allow for social distancing and reservations are set so there’s a specific number of people allowed into the area at one time.
