Jun 1, 2021 Robert Brown The man charged with the murder of a Ladyville man in 2018 has been sentenced to fourteen years in prison.  Robert Brown, who was charged with the murder of Gavin Palmerston, pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.  But the former heavy-duty equipment operator from Mitchell Estate, Ladyville, will spend only six years and eight months of that sentence. That’s because Justice Herbert Lord, who handed down the sentence last Thursday deducted four years after Brown did not waste the court’s time for a trial.
