Lapeer County 911 Dispatch was contacted by Genesee County 911 at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, April 25, to report the City of Davison Police Department was in pursuit of a freshly stolen 2018 Dodge Charger. Dispatch reported that the vehicle was headed east on Interstate 69 at speeds of more100 MPH as it entered into Lapeer County, according to a Lapeer County Sheriff’s Department news release.

Deputies with the Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office conducting traffic enforcement with a stationary radar attempted a traffic stop around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, April 10, on a speeding vehicle at Bowers Road near Five Lakes Road in Attica Township, about 10 miles east of Lapeer. A 2011 Chevy Malibu was headed 86 miles per hour east on Bowers Road, a 55 MPH speed zone. The vehicle allegedly failed to stop for deputies and increased its speed to approximately 100 MPH, according to a Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office news release.
