6 dogs in ‘horrible conditions’ dumped at Pa. animal shelter

Six dogs were dumped in “horrible conditions” at a Whitehall no-kill shelter, the Lehigh County Humane Society said.
The dogs were left at Peaceable Kingdom along MacArthur Road, Barbara Morgan, the Lehigh County Humane Society’s police officer, told lehighvalleylive.com Sunday. The humane society took to Facebook Saturday evening asking for the public’s help in finding a pair believed responsible.
Morgan shared photos of the individuals and asked anyone who recognized them to contact authorities. She also shared photos of dogs with their fur severely matted and and covered in feces.

A few weeks after Hal Warner became head of the Lehigh County Humane Society, his first trial by fire was a rescued menagerie that could trot, fly and slither.
The Allentown shelter was swarmed in 2018 with more than 100 animals from a Macungie home, the first big rescue for the humane society’s new president and CEO that included snakes, fish, birds, dogs and pigs.
