A man killed himself soon after killing one person and wounding another early Wednesday morning outside a Wawa in Upper Macungie Township, authorities report.
During a news conference Wednesday morning outside the store at Schantz Road and Route 100, Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin said the incident began just after 4:45 a.m. as a person driving a white Toyota Corolla fired a shot at a woman who was driving a car on Route 22 between Route 309 and Cedar Crest Boulevard.

Upper Macungie Wawa shooting witness Matthew Caldwell said his instincts kicked in and he didn't want to die. "It’s just a lot of emotions right now. I felt like it was surreal and felt like it wasn’t really happening to me.”
