On Friday, 8,500 cases of the year’s largest one-day spike virus were reported in Delhi. The jump in yesterday’s cases was the highest recorded on November 11 last year, with only 8,593 cases.
Since India is considered more severe than the first wave, with the second wave of coronovirus, several states including the Center and Delhi have imposed new restrictions to prevent the spread. The government has mainly blamed the resurgence on the crowd and shops and offices have reopened with reluctance to wear masks.
