CraZy LadyZ! boutique moves to new location

What was once a tiny boutique with one location in Chincoteague, Virginia, is now a company with storefronts in West Ocean City and Ocean View, Delaware. Sixteen years, one expansion and two moves later, the women’s clothing boutique kicked off a week-long celebration yesterday for the grand reopening of its West Ocean City boutique – about one mile east of the old location in the Ocean Gateway Center. “I’ve always wanted to be in this (retail) space, and it’s all about timing,” said co-owner Jan Patterson. “And the timing was just perfect.”

Sheffield University lecturer under fire for undermining anti-Semitism in Labour Party

A lecturer at one of the University of Sheffield’s most prestigious departments has come under fire for “engaging in denial” of anti-Semitism allegations within the Labour Party. Piers Robinson, Chair of Politics, Society and Political Communication at the Department of Journalism Studies signed a petition that claimed allegations of anti-Semitism within Labour are “being used as a weapon to silence those who speak out against injustice”. National organisation the Union of Jewish Students (UJS) called for the University to take “all actions necessary” against Mr Robinson, who is also the Co-Director at the Organisation for Propaganda Studies. A UJS spokesperson said: “It is unacceptable that an academic who should be fostering intelligent education and safe environments for learning appears to be… engaging in denial of antisemitism.

She shot to fame as the feisty girlfriend of Conor in The Young Offenders, which became an international smash. But Demi Isaac Oviawe is taking on a very different role - and leaning in to her Nigerian roots - for her latest film. Demi plays a young woman struggling to have a child in the moving drama To All My Darlings. Adaeze is in a loving relationship with her husband but the couple are facing trauma after yet another miscarriage, as they try to start a family. For Demi, it marks a complete departure from the comic Cork capers of The Young Offenders. She said she was thrilled to take on the dramatic role for the short film, one of several that will be screened as part of this year s Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival.

The pooch had been tossed to the side of the road and left for dead. As the 2021 Dakar Rally was underway M-Sport Race Mechanic, Alex Crellin, from Cockermouth, was travelling between stages when suddenly his vehicle swerved to avoid the stricken puppy. Jumping out of the car to investigate, he found the pup in a very bad condition.  He named her The Dakar Desert Princess.  Thanks to treatment and tender loving care she is now thriving and plans are being made to bring her back to Cumbria.
