Article content Marriage is a wonderful blessing from God. But having a good marriage is also hard. Living in the same space as someone else who is not perfect (and no one is perfect) can be a real challenge. People will often say that “50 per cent of marriages end in divorce, including marriages of people who believe in Jesus and attend church.”  But, like many stats that get thrown around in conversations, this 50 per cent stat is not actually true. The book, The Good News About Marriage, by Shaunti Feldhahn, actually shows from census data that only 30 per cent of marriages end in divorce and that the divorce rate for those who believe in Jesus Christ and regularly attend church is significantly lower than that. This is good news for marriages, much better than 50 per cent.
