Published: 3:34 PM January 29, 2021    A FOI error has revealed east Cambridgeshire isn’t home to the UK’s noisiest neighbours after all. - Credit: Ketut Subiyanto / Pexels  Residents in east Cambridgeshire can sleep soundly tonight knowing that the region isn’t home to the UK’s noisiest neighbours.   Earlier this month we reported that those living in the east of the county made the most noise complaints in the entire country.   Bankrate UK provided us with the data from their Freedom of Information request (FOI) to East Cambridgeshire District Council.   It has now been revealed that Bankrate UK had made an error, and east Cambridgeshire doesn’t even rank in the top 10 counties.

Published: 10:59 AM January 22, 2021    Updated: 11:00 AM January 22, 2021 Freedom of Information requests from Bankrate UK revealed East Cambridgeshire is home to the UK’s noisiest neighbours. - Credit: Andrea Piacquadio/Pexels  East Cambridgeshire has been officially named the home of the noisiest neighbours, with thousands of complaints relating to music, DIY and dogs barking.   A Freedom of Information (FOI) request by Bankrate UK revealed the councils across the county that have received the most complaints, with east Cambs winning first place.   The FOI exposed 4,999 complaints to East Cambridgeshire District Council since November 2017, that’s one in 17 residents lodging a grievance.   A spokesperson for Bankrate UK said: “Everybody needs good neighbours… but they don’t always get them.
