Chipotle could be coming to this Braselton/South Hall location
Update: Braselton Town Council denied on Monday, Feb. 8, the developer’s request for a drive-thru window.

The restaurant could be one of three tenants in a development planned at 2715 Old Winder Highway/Ga. 211 across from Friendship Road/Ga. 347 in Braselton on the Hall-Gwinnett County line.
A map shows the 2,365-square-foot Chipotle next to a second, unnamed 2,800-square-foot restaurant that could be divided into two 1,400-square-foot spaces. The third tenant would be a T-Mobile store.
An 82-year-old Hall County man and his 62-year-old daughter are hospitalized at Northeast Georgia Medical Center after a shooting incident on Old Pleasant Hill Road in the Oakwood area Tuesday afternoon.
Derreck Booth, a spokesman for the Hall County Sheriff s Office, described the incident as an attempted murder-suicide, saying the shooting was the result of a domestic argument at the home. Deputies responded to the shooting in the 3000 block of Old Pleasant Hill Road at approximately 4:30 p.m. and located two individuals suffering from shotgun wounds, Booth said in an email statement. According to the initial investigation, the suspect, Horace Owens, 82, shot his daughter, 62, and then shot himself.

An 82-year-old man allegedly shot his daughter and then shot himself at an Oakwood home Tuesday, Feb. 2, according to authorities. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident as an attempted murder-suicide.
The office said two people were found with shotgun wounds around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 3000 block of Old Pleasant Hill Road in Oakwood.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck Booth said investigators believe Horace Owens, 82, shot his 62-year-old daughter before shooting himself.

Investigators Seek Cause of Nitrogen Leak that Killed 6 at Georgia Poultry Plant February 1, 2021
The investigation into a deadly liquid nitrogen leak at a Georgia poultry plant continued Saturday with authorities saying they were trying to determine what caused a break in the recently installed system.
Six workers died on Thursday after the liquid nitrogen release at Foundation Food Group. About a dozen others were injured and taken to a hospital, and 130 people had to be evacuated. The search for answers came as several hundred people attended a Saturday afternoon vigil outside the plant, several sobbing for loved ones who died.
