LUXEMBURG - The future was the talk of the dedication ceremony for the new Agriscience Center at Luxemburg-Casco High School, but some of its benefits are already being felt in the present.
The dedication, closed to the public because of coronavirus concerns but livestreamed, took place Tuesday evening, April 6, with a ribbon cutting to officially open the center on the east side of the high school building. The center hosted some classes in this winter semester with a full schedule expected starting in 2021-2022.
The facility comprises two separate instructional areas, a 40-by-70-foot barn and a 30-by-50-foot greenhouse.
The Great Falls College-MSU Dean/CEO search advisory committee has selected Dr. Stephanie Erdmann to replace Dr. Susan J. Wolff, who will retire at the end of June.
Erdmann was one of two semifinalists selected by the committee and participated in public forums as a part of the interview process. Dr. Chato Hazelbaker, who currently works at Carroll College, was the other finalist in contention of the position. I am really looking forward to working with the remarkable faculty and staff at Great Falls College, Erdmann said. They are so dedicated to the students and to the Great Falls community. It is clear that Great Falls loves this college and I know working together we can take it to new heights.
