Want to know where Santa is? Follow him with satellites and radar [Springfield News-Sun, Ohio]
Dec. 22 Join NORAD as it tracks Santa Claus on Christmas Eve with satellites and radar as he delivers presents to girls and boys around the world.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command is celebrating 65 years of keeping watch over the jolly old elf’s flight path from the North Pole as he guides his reindeer-driven sleigh on his magical journey.
NORAD tracks everything that flies in and around North America 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in defense of the homeland. On Dec. 24, NORAD has a special mission to also track Santa.

One way to track Santa is through the North American Aerospace Defense Command, or NORAD, which keeps count of the number of gifts children who went to bed on time have received. (Shutterstock)
CONNECTICUT It s been a tough year, and while few traditions this holiday season will go on untouched by the coronavirus pandemic, here s one we can still count on seeing whether Santa Claus is en route to Connecticut with a sleigh full of Christmas gifts.
It s a tried-and-true way to bring an extra spark of joy to kids this holiday season. It s also a good incentive to get the kiddos tucked in by convincing them that Rudolph s red nose is trained on your house and Santa is, in fact, on his way.

Paul M. Bishop, EADS commander. “I can assure everyone that EADS will do everything in its power to assist Santa with his critical mission.”
However, this year there s another way to watch the reindeers and sleigh on a much bigger screen. Sky has just announced the launch of a new Sky Q app, which will allow viewers to track Santa on their TVs via a simple voice command via the Sky Q remote.
To find where the bearded deliveryman is right now and who is next on the list to receive their gifts all you need to do is say “Where’s Santa?” or “Where’s Father Christmas?” into your Sky Q voice remote and the tracker app will launch to give you and your family an exciting sneak peek into Saint Nick s route around the world this year.
