Northern Illinois University has announced a pair of events that will help get students vaccinated. Here s what you need to know.
Starting Monday, April 13, all Illinoisans 16-years-of-age and over will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. The Dekalb County Health Department made the announcement today (4/9) that there will be two different opportunities for Northern Illinois University students to get vaccinated, should they be interested.
The COVID-19 vaccine student-only events are scheduled for
Saturday, April 17 and
Tuesday, April 20. Both events will take place on the NIU campus in the Recreation Center.
According to the health department, students will be given the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. This is the one and done vaccine, no second appointment will be needed.
