Jeffrey Rink, a senior vice president, was promoted to executive vice president with the added oversight of administrative operations, customer service, and the special investigative unit. Joining Harford Mutual in 2009, Rink has transformed its business development team and oversaw the successful expansion and new office in their Southern Region. In recent years, Rink’s leadership was essential in the creation of distinct foundation, middle-market, and large business units and the development and implementation of the new online rating system RapidWrite and Agent Portal. As executive vice president, he will continue to foster innovation in strategic planning and support the company’s vision and growth plans. Jefferson High School cheer seniors look to future as graduation nears

ROCKFORD A common meme floating around social media is the picture of the actors from the famous 1980s movie The Breakfast Club sitting around staring at cell phones instead of talking to each other. The message to the world is Generation Z would rather get lost in the digital world of phones and video games than interact with the rest of us. The three seniors on Jefferson High School’s competitive cheer team can put that lie to rest. “I wish I could sit around home,” 17-year-old Destiny Coleman said. “I like to stay busy. It keeps me focused and on track. I don’t really like down time.”
