Tallman, 32, is a finalist in Pabst Blue Ribbon s latest art can contest. Thousands of artists from across the country submitted their work in hopes of landing a coveted PBR art can later this year, and Tallman is now one of five in the running for the can and a $10,000 cash prize.
Tallman s design is a modern yet vintage spin on the classic Pabst Blue Ribbon can. It s also a nod to one of Tallman s favorite artists, Jack Kirby of Silver Surfer fame.

In celebration of Black History Month, the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission will sponsor a virtual screening and discussion of the documentary Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am.
Morrison was a noted American writer whose best-selling novels explored the black experience in America, particularly for women. During her six-decade career, her acclaimed work such as the Song of Solomon, Beloved, and A Mercy earned her numerous honors, including the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize in literature.
