KPMG to create 200 jobs at new Belfast office Updated / Wednesday, 17 Feb 2021 07:05 KPMG is set to establish a new Centre of Excellence in Belfast, creating 200 new jobs. The company is investing over €16m in the office, which it said will deliver digital consultancy services in the UK and here in Ireland. It said the centre will provide consultancy services in areas such as cyber security, artificial intelligence and digital transformation. Invest NI has provided £1m to secure the project for Northern Ireland.  The Northern Ireland Department for the Economy is also funding a training programme, at a cost of £1.3m over three years.

Ulster University should be ‘open and honest’ about Magee student numbers Irish government reaffirms its commitment to higher education provision in Derry under the terms of the New Decade, New Approach deal Reporter: );   ); Derry councillors have called on Ulster University to be ‘open and honest’ about student numbers at Magee campus after the Vice Chancellor gave the impression of ‘continuous growth’. Speaking at a Council meeting last week, UU Vice Chancellor Professor Paul Bartholomew said there are 4,498 students at Magee this year. Professor Bartholomew went on to say that student numbers were up 85 on five years ago and up 930 compared to 2008/09.
