January 11, 2021 Lana Jean Coventry BANGOR, Maine – Lana Jean Coventry was reunited with her husband, Roger Paul Coventry, and the Lord Father in heaven on Dec. 15, 2020, when she passed away at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine, after a long illness. Mrs. Coventry was born in Island Falls, Maine, on Sept. 25, 1951, the daughter of the late Frederick and Betsy Humphrey. Her fondest memories were spent crafting, volunteering on various church committees, riding on the back of motorcycles, line dancing, playing cards with friends, and spending time with her daughter and granddogs on the Maine coast. Mrs. Coventry lived her life guided by an unyielding faith. She will be remembered most for her fiery spirit, witty sense of humor, gift for gab that helped her make friends wherever she went, fierce loyalty to friends and family, and her charitable heart that was always willing to help another.

Maine CDC reports 350 coronavirus cases, one death

Five adults injured in single-vehicle New Portland crash

Maine hospitals welcome first babies of the new year

Some of the first babies born in 2021 arrived at Maine hospitals on New Year’s Day. Winnie Reiche Maine Medical Center At Maine Medical Center in Portland, the Reiche family welcomed Winnie, a girl, who was born at 1:58 a.m. Friday. The first child of Sarah and George Reiche of Portland, she weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce, and measured 19 1/4 inches in length. Sarah Reiche, who is a nurse in Maine Med’s neonatal intensive care unit, said the family is “so happy to welcome our new baby girl into 2021.” A Sidney couple welcomed Augusta’s first baby less than an hour into the new year.
