âJemeila Brewer, 36, of Flint, was arraigned April 5 in Oakland County 52-2 District Court on a three-count warrant authorized by the Oakland County Prosecutorâs Office. She is facing one count of second-degree homicide, operating a vehicle while intoxicated causing death and one count of failing to stop and identity herself at the accident resulting in death. âNorth Oakland County Fire Authority (NOCFA) responded to a residential structure fire in the 6300 block of E. Holly Road in Holly Township at 5:15 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 14.
âFire Chief Jeremy Lintz said a chimney fire at the two-story farmhouse extended into the attic of the home.
âA passerby saw the roof of the home on fire and pounded on the door to check to see if anyone was in the home. The 50-year-old homeowner was inside and exited without injury.
âUpon arrival, Lintz said flames were through the roof in the center of the home. Fire crews knocked down the fire and prevented it from spreading farther into the house. Damage from the fire was limited to the room the fireplace was in and the roof area around the chimney.
