A MAJOR emergency services response was launched after a mountain biker sustained a traumatic injury at the One Planet Adventure site in Llandegla. The Welsh Ambulance Service has confirmed that two emergency ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and the Wales Air Ambulance were sent to the forest visitor centre at 1.25pm yesterday (April 6). Firefighters along with members of North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) were also called to assisted paramedics at the scene. A female was taken to hospital by road. A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: We were called to the One Planet Adventure park in Llandegla, Wrexham, on Thursday 6 May at 1.25pm to reports of a person with a traumatic injury.
Emergency services were called to the incident in Llandegla this afternoon (May 6). Firefighters and members of North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) assisted paramedics at the scene and a female was taken to hospital by air ambulance. A spokeswoman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they were called out at 1.35pm. NEWSAR posted on its Facebook page: Earlier today we were asked to assist the Welsh Ambulance Service with an injured mountain biker at Llandegla Mountain Bike Centre. We worked alongside North Wales Fire and Rescue Service to evacuate the casualty. Get well soon.
