More than a dozen people have been caught having sex in a public places across Cumbria. In the past five years, four people who have been caught in a compromising position have either been charged or issued with a summons. Figures indicate that in the south of the county, there were four people caught committing an act outraging public decency. In north Cumbria, four people were caught and in West Cumbria, six people were caught having sex in a public place. Overall, there were three people aged 20 to 30 and two aged 41 to 50. Professor Matt Phillips, associate medical director at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust, said: “There are lots of ways to enjoy safer sex. Extension to West Cumberland Hospital to start in the New Year The West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven Building work to improve the capacity within the emergency department at West Cumberland Hospital will start in the New Year.
