By Giana Magnoli, Noozhawk Managing Editor | @magnoli December 22, 2020 | 6:18 p.m. Congress passed a $900 billion COVID-19 relief bill Monday that includes funding for direct stimulus checks, supplemental unemployment benefits, and more funding for businesses.   “While this compromise legislation does not go far enough to protect all vulnerable Americans, it is a start, and I’m hopeful the new administration will be able to build upon this bipartisan effort to craft a more comprehensive assistance package early next year,” County Supervisor Gregg Hart said during a Tuesday COVID-19 briefing.
