The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission says airline passenger boardings in February were the best they have been since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Commission executive director Kyle Wanner says passenger counts are still about 50 percent below pre-pandemic levels. The February numbers were 51,240. Still, Wanner says the numbers are looking better.
Wanner says February’s numbers were actually better than December – and December is normally a big travel month.
A total of 4,449 passengers passed through the gates of the Grand Forks Airport last month. Boardings were down 55% at the G-F-K.
