Its new 400,000-square-foot headquarters will be built at N. O’Connor and W. Las Colinas boulevards on 4.2 acres it acquired from State Bank of Texas. The North Texas-based system does not have any facilities in the region, but has more than 600 locations in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and and other markets. It employs 15,000 physicians that run community hospitals, urgent care centers, health insurance companies, and physician clinics.

The project will cost an estimated $23 million. The center has begun a $4 million capital campaign to fund the facility and more than $1 million of that has already been raised. Resource Center CEO Cece Cox explained that $750,000 came as a grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank and Veritex Bank in Dallas. Other money has been raised from individual donors. That includes 100 percent participation of the center’s board. Additional money for the project will come in the form of low income housing tax credits, city participation, a mortgage serviced through rental payments and more.
