PEQUOT LAKES A 58-year-old woman was injured in a snowmobile crash Sunday, Jan. 3, in Ideal Township in Pequot Lakes.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office was called to the crash at 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Crow Wing County Highway 16 and Ruttger Road. The woman, Kathryn Carlson from North Oaks, was transported by North Memorial Health Ambulance to Essentia Health-St Joseph s Medical Center.
The Breezy Point and Pequot Lakes police departments assisted the county at the scene.

This is one of many protests by the group identifying themselves as water protectors at various sites, including drilling sites and forested lands. In the past several months, there have been occasional protests outside the work yard near Backus on Highway 87.

Vehicles collide at rural Brainerd intersection
Wise Road and Dellwood Drive is located in the First Assessment District, north of the Baxter/Brainerd area.

Two people were injured Friday morning, Dec. 18, when their vehicles collided at the intersection of Wise Road and Dellwood Drive.
The Brainerd Police Department responded to the crash at 8:28 a.m. An investigation found that Alison L. Coventry, 18, Pillager, was traveling east and Barbara J. Woese, 80, Merrifield, was traveling west on Wise Road. Woese had slowed down to make a left turn onto Dellwood Drive when she failed to yield to Coventry’s vehicle and the two vehicles collided, police reported.
