Bolton Mountain Rescue Team helped rescue a man at a popular beauty spot this Easter weekend. The voluntary group said they were called by the ambulance service on Monday afternoon around 4:56pm to help a 22-year-old who had injured his ankle after falling in Tiger s Clough, near Rivington. The team had to transport the man over 800 metres back on to a road where he could be picked up by an ambulance and taken to a hospital to treat his injury. A Bolton Mountain Rescue Team spokesman said: At 4.56pm yesterday (Monday) afternoon we were requested by North West Ambulance Service to assist with a 22-year-old male who had fallen whilst walking in Tiger’s Clough behind Rivington and Blackrod High School.

Chester Road, near Delamere (Google) EMERGENCY services were called out after a crash between a car and a bin lorry. A crew of firefighters from Northwich was dispatched to the scene in Chester Road, Delamere, at around 7.15am this morning. No occupants were trapped in the vehicles and on arrival the crew made the scene safe. Cheshire Police and the North West Ambulance Service were also in attendance. A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: At around 7.15am firefighters received a report of a two-vehicle collision in Chester Road, Delamere, near Northwich.
