Up to 25 firefighters battle blaze for hours at terraced house

FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze at a terrace house in Little Lever in the early hours of the morning. Crews from from across Bolton and Bury were called to Norris Street at around 5am to reports of a roof fire. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters put out the blaze using hose reels and other specialist equiptment. They are currently still in attendnace. One person was treated at the scene for slight smoke inhalation by the ambulance service. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “At around 5:00am this morning, five fire engines from Bolton Central, Bolton North, Farnworth, and Whitefield fire stations, as well as a turntable ladder from Stretford, were called to reports of a fire involving the roof of a mid-terraced property on Norris Street, Little Lever.
