Two fire engines from South Shore and Blackpool stations were called out at 6.49pm after a home caught fire in Tyldesley Road, near the Promenade.
Fire crews said the fire started in an upstairs bedroom of a residential property and one casualty was treated at the scene by ambulance crews.
A fire service spokesman said: Two fire engines from South Shore and Blackpool were called to a fire in a bedroom of a domestic property on Tyldesley Road, Blackpool.

BOLTON Mountain Rescue Team has been mobilised to three incidents today. The team, entirely made up of volunteers, was sent to Rivington Pike just before noon after a woman sustained a suspected fracture. Around an hour later they were called after a male was unconscious near to Moses Gate Country Park in Farnworth before heading over the moor to Tockholes to a sledger in difficulty. Posting details and photographs on their social media channels, a spokesman said: An eventful start to 2021 with three rescues (so far) today. The first at 11:51 was to a 32 year old female with a suspected fractured ankle on Rivington Pike. The patient was conveyed to Royal Bolton Hospital in a team vehicle.
