Mostly clear skies and light winds overnight has led to a chilly Tuesday morning across much of the metro area.
Temperatures as of 5:30 a.m. were in the high 20s to mid-30s across much of Washington, Yamhill and Clark counties, including 29 degrees in the Battle Ground area and 31 in Newberg. That is much cooler than most of January but in line the average mid-January overnight low. These low overnight temps will continue for much of the week, according to the National Weather Service.
