Fort Smith, Arkansas – David Clay Fowlkes, Acting United States Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, announced that on April 14, 2021, the final of six (6) individuals were sentenced by the United States District Court for their roles in a methamphetamine trafficking ring which operated in Benton County, Arkansas and other jurisdictions such as California and Missouri. This investigation and prosecution, named Operation Inner Circle, lasted from approximately January of 2019 through today s final sentencing hearing. The Honorable Judge Timothy L. Brooks presided over the sentencing hearings in the United States District Court in Fayetteville.

ARKANSAS, USA The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded more than $4.5 million in federal stimulus money to Arkansas airports, including $4.38 million to Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) in Highfill. U.S. Sens. John Boozman, R-Ark., and Tom Cotton, R-Ark., and U.S. Reps. Rick Crawford, R-Jonesboro, and Steve Womack, R-Rogers, announced Friday (Feb. 26) the grants will help to offset costs and maintain jobs as a result of COVID-19 and provide for increased sanitization to combat the spread of pathogens at airports.
The DOT, through the Federal Aviation Administration, will give the money appropriated through the Coronavirus Relief and Response Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act, which Congress approved in December. All federal legislators from Arkansas supported the act.

The Arkansas Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration have cleared a final hurdle to construct a new northwest-bound limited access road to Northwest Arkansas National Airport in Benton County. The preferred route, which has cleared an environmental assessment, will extend northwest from the Springdale Northern Bypass and Arkansas 112 interchange. Planners are hosting a virtual public forum on March 2 to discuss the project.

Bozeman serves as a key gateway to Yellowstone National Park, one of the country’s most visited national parks.
Allegiant announces a major expansion with 34 new nonstop routes
Allegiant Air today announced 34 new nonstop routes, including nine special limited routes for the Sturgis Rally 2021.
Additionally, Allegiant will offer nine special limited routes to Rapid City, S.D. via Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP) with one-way fares as low as $99. The routes will provide an affordable option to those who plan to attend the annual City of Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August.
