MACOMB Macomb Police Chief Curt Barker announced today that he will be retiring as Chief of Police effective May 3, 2021.
Barker, a graduate of Western Illinois University and a U.S. Army veteran, has served as a member of the Macomb Police Department for over 27 years, 12 of those years as Chief. “I am proud to have been able to serve the citizens of Macomb as a police officer and as their Chief,” said Chief Barker. “And am proud of the women and men of the Macomb Police Department, as they move into the future,” Barker added.

Nathan Buseck - Cheyenne PD Captain and Acting Chief
Buseck holds 21 years of experience with the Cheyenne Police Department (CPD). Joined CPD as an Officer/Detective in 2000, promoted to Sergeant in 2007, and to Lieutenant in 2012. Promoted to his current position of Captain in 2016 and obtained Acting Chief position in January 2021. Buseck earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of New Mexico in 1995 and is a 2019 graduate of the FBI National Academy, Class #277. In 2017, Buseck attended the Leadership in Police Organizations (LPO) development training program conducted by The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP).
Among his duties as president, he presides at all meetings of the executive board and association, serves as association spokesperson to the press and public, appoints committees and designates chairs of those committees.
At the Wayne County Association of Chiefs of Police, Maciag was vice president in 2020. He will represent member police chiefs, directors and executive-level law enforcement professionals across Wayne County during his one-year term. His term as president began Nov. 17.
Maciag started his police career at the Wayne Police Department nearly 23 years ago and rose to become police chief. During that time, he held many positions and was Wayne’s Police Officer of the Year in 2001.
McHenry County College police chief to join sheriff s office as corrections chief

The McHenry County College police chief will take over as the new McHenry County Sheriff s Office corrections chief after the January retirement of the current chief, Sheriff Bill Prim announced Tuesday.
Michael Clesceri, who has more than 30 years of experience and leadership in law enforcement, will take over as the McHenry County jail s administrator starting Jan. 11, which is when Chief Daniel Sitkie is scheduled to retire, according to the release. Sitkie is set to retire after 29 years with the corrections division, where he spent the last two years as chief.
