The Mission Acceleration Business Accelerator Program for small business owners starts in August at Blue Ridge Community College and the enrollment period is open now.
For the third consecutive year, Blue Ridge Community College and the Henderson County Chamber of Commerce have partnered to offer the Mission Acceleration Business Accelerator, a five-month, 10-session program for small business owners to innovate and take their businesses to the next level, according to a news release from BRCC.
The program, led by Gary Heisey, is designed to assist for-profit, not-for-profit and family-owned businesses. Training topics are taught by subject matter experts and include management, leadership, insurance, purchasing, branding, sales, customer service, distribution and finance.
It s really my small attempt to get people to spend money where they otherwise might not think to, he said. By visiting cozquest.com on their smartphones, players will have to solve a puzzle, follow a map and then locate and scan a QR code hidden at a local business. Once they ve scanned the code a prize will open up that is tied to the local vendor and, hopefully, will encourage the player to spend some money at that business. If a player can solve all the puzzles and find all the QR codes, they will be entered into a raffle for a prize donated by the event s sponsors: a $250 prize from Lee Bank and a free one night stay at Hotel on North.
