The new chief marketing officer at BurgerFi is Henry Gonzalez, who has over 25 years of food business experience, a news release said. The news comes on the heels of the fast casual brand naming Michael Rabinovitch as CFO and Jim Esposito as chief operations officer. Sajj Mediterranean is partnering with Local Kitchens, a digital food hall, to launch a Sajj Kitchen concept in Cupertino, California.
The fast casual brand s kitchen, at 21666 Stevens Creek Boulevard, will provide pick up and delivery services within an eight-mile radius of the storefront and will operate from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., according to a press release.
Customers can order directly from the brand s website and via its app, as well third-party delivery services and the in-store kiosk. Pizza Barn, a pizzeria in Princeton, Minnesota, is getting ready to launch a second food truck given the great response its initial food truck has experienced.
The first food truck launched in early April, according to a Union Times report.
Pizza Barn owner Jody Stay is also working on adding a smoker to the restaurant in order to expand the menu and food truck offerings.
The top obstacles in getting a food truck up and running has been getting needed state approvals, she told the news outlet. I see the truck we have right now as a prototype for a fleet, Stay told the Union Times. That s my ultimate goal.

Noodles & Company is aiming for a minimum 7% system-wide unit growth goal in 2022 and banking on franchise development to make it happen.
The fast casual brand is also striving for 10% annual growth starting next year as it plans to hit 1,500 units, according to a press release. The company operates close to 450 locations across 29 states.
The goals are not unrealistic given the brand saw a 128% increase in digital sales in 2020, which accounted for 62% of overall sales. It was poised to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic as it was already operating 56% of its business in an off-premise setting and accelerated the strategy to deal with the fast changes in consumer behavior, according to the release.
