Several brands announced 11th Gen vPro laptops at CES 2021
Along with new processors for gaming laptops, self-driving car tech, and previews of next-gen architectures, Intel used its presence at CES 2021 to launch the 11th Gen vPro platform for a new wave of business laptops. What sets vPro-enabled PCs apart from ordinary ones is additional validated hardware and software for security, reliability, and remote management which includes deployment and serviceability in large-scale business environments. Over 60 new vPro-enabled laptops are set to launch in 2021, taking advantage of these features, plus the performance, graphics, AI, and battery life improvements of the underlying 11th Gen ‘Tiger Lake' CPU architecture. Some of these laptops will be ultraportables developed under intel's Evo initiative, which has its own set of requirements in terms of performance and design.

Cybereason today announced a collaboration to adopt new Intel® Hardware Shield protections for Ransomware available on the 11th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro® mobile platforms. Cybereason’s multi-layered protection, in collaboration with Intel® Threat Detection Technology, will enable full-stack visibility to uncover ransomware attacks. The solution represents the first instance where PC hardware plays a direct role in ransomware cyber defense to better protect enterprise endpoints from costly attacks, and underscores both companies’ commitment to empowering defenders by reversing the adversary advantage.
Intel's press event at this year's CES may have lasted just 30 minutes, but it was enough for the tech corporation to announce some 50 new processors belonging to four different families of products, with two of those, Rocket Lake and Alder Lake, being developed at Intel Israel. The new processors will be integrated in a wide range of computers, including Chromebooks, and desktop and laptop gaming computers. Intel also announced that its new 11th-generation H-series processors for super-thin gaming laptops should arrive in the first half of 2021 and the company also showed off the Acer Chromebook featuring an Intel Evo design, which also includes an 11th-gen Intel Core processor.
