UFCW national representative Carl Flanagan says more than 80 employees work in food delivery, laundry and house cleaning services at Shannex facilities and the wage top-up would vary. “It depends on the number of hours they worked. but it’s a maximum of $500 a month.” He says other provinces have included these roles in the top-up. Wages for these positions start at $14.70 an hour.
