On July 12, 2021, the teen named Ralph Wee Yi Kai (also known as @ralphwee on TikTok) was charged by a district court for offences that included criminal trespass, vandalism, and mischief. The charges for vandalism and mischief were handed out to Wee for incidents unrelated to the trespassing.
Local authorities were alerted to the teen s antics after his video began circulating on the TikTok platform on December 17, 2020.
In his video, Wee – who at the time had just over 33,000 followers on his account – was shown clearly jumping the barriers at the Singapore Zoo s white rhinoceros enclosure and doing a backflip before quickly exiting the area.

SINGAPORE: A 33-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday night (Apr 27) for allegedly attacking a woman with a knife in Bukit Batok.
The police said they were called to the incident at Block 155 Bukit Batok Street 11 at about 4.30pm on the same day.

The 35-year-old woman suffered injuries to her hand and neck. She was conscious when taken to the hospital.
Through ground enquiries and using footage from police cameras, Jurong Police Division and Woodlands Police Division officers identified the man and arrested him.
