ODF crews contain grassfire sparked by vehicle fire above Ashland
A vehicle fire and subsequent grassfire prompted a multi-agency response to the 11000-block of Dead Indian Memorial Road outside of Ashland on Saturday, July 3, 2021.

ASHLAND, Ore Oregon Department of Forestry Southwest District crews have contained a grassfire that was burning above the city of Ashland, after a vehicle fire had made its way to the surrounding area Saturday afternoon.
The vehicle fire was quickly extinguished by Jackson County Fire District 5 and through an aggressive initial attack from the air and on the ground, the grassfire portion of the incident is 100% lined and 50% mopped up according to ODFSW. Fire crews believe the fire was stopped at about one and a half acres.
