MPD investigating shots fired incident; 1 person injured

MADISON, Wis. One person was injured following numerous shots fired reports in Madison on Tuesday afternoon.
Officials said callers reported hearing gunshots on the 1200 block of Gilbert Road at about 2:45 p.m. According to an incident report, a victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other details are available at this time. The department’s Violent Crime Unit is leading the investigation, which is active and ongoing.

POTTSTOWN â A Berks County woman faces a trial on charges she illegally purchased guns for a multi-county gun trafficking network.
Makayla Prince, 22, of the first block of Monroe Street, Mohnton, was ordered to stand trial, after waiving a preliminary hearing before District Court Judge Edward C. Kropp Sr., on charges of corrupt organizations, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, making false statements, criminal use of a communication facility and illegal sale or transfer of firearms in connection with a gun trafficking organization that allegedly relied heavily on so-called âstraw purchaseâ schemes.
Prince remains free on $100,000 unsecured bail while awaiting her next court appearance, a formal arraignment hearing in county court at which a judge could set a trial date.
Police arrest woman in connection with Park Street homicide; victim identified

Officials with the Madison Police Department said officers with the department’s Violent Crime Unit arrested 19-year-old Carmen Sharp on Tuesday. Sharp was taken to the Dane County Jail and tentatively charged with party to a crime first-degree intentional homicide and bail jumping.
The 23-year-old victim in the shooting died from his injuries Monday morning.
The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim Wednesday afternoon as Isiah T. Davis. Authorities said Davis died from injuries he suffered when he was shot.
Additional testing is underway, according to a press release.

MADISON, Wis. Madison Police say one person was shot at a gas station on South Park Street late Saturday night.
The call came in at 9:24 p.m. Saturday, according to Dane County Dispatch.
Madison Police say a single victim with a gunshot wound was taken to an area hospital. The Violent Crime Unit is leading the investigation.
