Suspected Rapist Wanted In Deerfield MA Captured
A suspected rapist added to the Massachusetts State Police Most Wanted list last month was captured early this morning in Kissimmee, Fla. after a motel desk clerk recognized one of his guests from the wanted poster released by the MSP’s Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section.
Osceola County, Fla., Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Travelodge Motel in Kissimmee after the motel notified them that a guest at the property, JEFFREY CANCEL-MUNIZ, 40. CANCEL-MUNIZ is a Level 3 Sex Offender who is wanted by Deerfield, Mass., Police for aggravated rape causing serious bodily injury, rape, kidnapping, and strangulation. The charges relate to a sexual assault that occurred in May 2020.

A fugitive accused of armed robbery and assault who authorities were searching for for months was apprehended by Massachusetts State Police on Thursday with a so-called “ghost gun,” officials said.
The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Marino Pimental, was wanted on warrants for armed robbery, assaults with a dangerous weapon, firearm offenses and making threats for crimes allegedly committed in Methuen, according to a statement from state police.
State police troopers from the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS) and detective unit for Essex County started searching for the suspect last summer, checking numerous address and interviewing multiple sources of information. However, the fugitive wasn’t found, the statement said.
