WDH Offers Free Suicide Prevention Training to Wyoming Employers

CHEYENNE The Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) is offering free suicide prevention training to employers and their employees across the state as a way to help support their workforce and Wyoming communities. In 2019 the state’s suicide rate was the highest in the United States and almost twice the national average according to the American Association of Suicidology. “Wyoming unfortunately has historically high suicide rates and, on average, one Wyoming resident dies by suicide every two days,” said Lindsay Martin, Injury and Violence Prevention Program manager with WDH. Billy’s Burgers to return After bowing out of the Town Square scene in the spring of 2012, Billy’s Burgers will be returning late this summer in a new spot, The Virginian. “The Virginian Lodge and Billy’s Burgers have both been much loved institutions in Jackson,” Robert Huggins, president and CEO of Virginian owner Orion Companies, said in a statement emailed by a public relations representative. “When it came time to reimagine the next era for The Virginian, it was a natural decision to bring back Billy’s Burgers — a place that has not only been known for amazing burgers but also for fostering a sense of community and friendship around its lively counter. We look forward to creating that same atmosphere in the new home for Billy’s Burgers.”
