Written by Wyatt Burichka on May 26, 2021 On May 20 through May 22 the Wyoming High School State Track Meet happened. All four classifications competed in Casper over the three day event. Cole Havens covered the the 4A results. In 1A Cokeville won the meet followed by Southeast and Kaycee. The Boys side saw first and second place separated by two points. With Burlington placing first and Cokeville placing second. The Tounge River Girls team capture the 2A girls state meet by over 70 points scoring 158 points in the three days. Glenrock took second with 81.5 points. Rocky Mountain boys track team crushed the meet by having 161 points to win the 2A championship. Big Horn placed second with 113 points.

Cody Schools - Where Do You Still Need To Wear A Mask?

Written by Andrew-Rossi on April 26, 2021 The State of Wyoming approved a mask variance for all Cody schools – but students, staff, and visitors still need to wear masks in certain spaces and places. Cody students and teachers can now choose to go to class without a mask. Park County Public Health Officer Dr. Aaron Billin announced the variance, requested by the Park County School District #6 Board of Trustees, was approved by the state on Friday, April 23. “The School Board of Park County School District #6 has requested an exception to State Public Health Order #1 that allows PCSD #6 to make mask-wearing in school OPTIONAL. At the request of the School Board – this applies to mask use during the school day in school buildings and classroom settings and not to sporting events and other activities such as band concerts.”

FCSD #25 board meeting Tuesday, April 27

(Riverton, WY) – The school board for Fremont County School District (FCSD) #25 will meet for their regular meeting Tuesday, April 27, at 7PM. The meeting will cover the acceptance of the State Education Agency (SEA) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Reimbursement Grant in the amount of $11,875.00. Advertisement Contracts to fill 1 Ashgrove Elementary, 1 Aspen Early Learning Center, and 3 Riverton High School positions, will also be offered, as well as an official offer to former St. Stephens Chief Financial Officer Matthew Gonzales to become the new FCSD #25 Business Manager. The meeting will also see a Frontier Academy Graduation for Adrianna Michelle WhiteHawk, as well as a Wyoming High School Activities Association (WHSAA) Good Sportsmanship Award being given to Damon DeVries & Brice Nimmo.
