Actor Terrence J Commits To Helping Students Eat Healthier At HBCUs Actor Terrence J (Image: Twitter/@Forbes) Actor and producer Terrence Jenkins, better known as Terrence J, announced a commitment to raising awareness of healthy eating within Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Jenkins, who also serves as a national ambassador of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), has partnered with Aladdin Campus Dining, a student-inspired program in colleges and universities across the country. Jenkins and Aladdin will support healthy eating programs and initiatives throughout HBCUs all year. “Developing healthy eating habits has been one of the biggest struggles I’ve faced as an adult. With some better advice and also access to healthier food in college, I don’t think I would have had to work so hard to maintain my health,” Terrence J said. “I’m thrilled that my work as an ambassador for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund has led me next to Aladdin Campus

Ford Is Acceting Proposals For Its Third HBC-You Mobility Challlenge

The Ford Motor Company Fund has announced its third annual HBC-You Mobility Challenge, a competition for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) students. Ford is inviting HBCU students alumni, faculty, and staff to submit innovative and new proposals on smart mobility for a chance to win up to $25,000 in grants to get their ideas off the ground. All proposals must address the theme: Making Lives Better: Changing the Way We Move Through Smart Mobility. Last year’s winners include Morgan State University, which received $25,000 for its proposal to support the school’s food resource center by connecting students to resources and dietary advice through its Freshly (Food Resources & Expanded Shuttle for Healthy Living Year-round) Program.
