65 MPH Winds Expected In SE Wyoming Into Friday
The agency posted this statement on its website this morning:
A very windy day is on tap for much of southeast Wyoming and the western Nebraska Panhandle, with wind gusts 35-50 MPH common across the area. High Wind Warnings have been posted once again for the wind prone areas of southeast Wyoming, where wind gusts up to 65 MPH will be possible this afternoon and tonight. The highest potential for gusts in excess of 60 MPH is expected after 8 PM MST this evening. Expect hazardous travel for light and high profile vehicles, including campers and tractor trailers. In addition to the threat for strong winds, areas of blowing and drifting snow are possible along and west of the Laramie Range, creating locally reduced visibilities and slick road conditions. 23-Year-Old Wyoming Driver Killed in Head-On Crash
One driver was killed and another injured in a head-on crash east of Rock Springs Wednesday afternoon, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 1:26 p.m. near milepost 3.5 on Nine Mile Road near Point of Rocks.
The patrol says 23-year-old Wyoming resident Chad Collard was driving south when he crossed the centerline and collided with an oncoming semi.
Collard was buckled up, but due to the severity of the crash, his seat belt was torn free from the car and (he) came to rest lying next to the vehicle, the crash report said.
According to the Powel Tribune, there has been a pause in Kanye West’s manufacturing facility in Cody. But after several months operations should begin again, soon, maybe.

Alcala was known as The Dating Game Killer because he appeared as a contestant of the popular television show in 1978, was charged and convicted of murdering two women in New York crimes in 2012 and given a lengthy prison sentence before being returned to California where he is on death row for murders committed in that state.
He also murdered San Antonio resident Christine Ruth Thornton, 27, and disposed her body in a remote area northeast of Granger, a small community northwest of Green River.
